STARMER & CO: BLIND LEADING THE BLIND BEHIND BLAIR'S BEHIND

A once-proud nation now, blindly, reaches out a begging bowl to another still-proud-and-ever-shrewd one. Starmer, Milliband and the rest this minority Labour government continue to display levels of ineptitude higher than any predecessor.
Their cognitively dissonant policies include a precipitous dash toward the NetZero precipice, with untold calamity for The British People, while procuring non-recyclable, environmentally-degrading and wild-life-destroying solar panels and wind turbines from China, who manufacture these "green renewables" from their fossil-fuel-burning plants, which they are building at a rapid rate: two new plants each day.
Starmer and his apparatchiks truly are the blind leading the blind behind Blair's behind.

A few decades ago, the UK was a prosperous country with an economy growing at a steady pace. Tony Blair inherited a growth rate of over 4% in 1997, and maintained it above 2% until the global financial crisis of 2008. By 2010, total public spending was around 48% – far higher than the 39.9% Labour inherited from the Conservatives.
Years of financial mismanagement have left us broke. So we have sold off assets to China in a desperate bid to claw back cash. Recent events in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and the Indo-Pacific don’t just make that policy look naive but self-destructive.
Successive prime ministers have allowed Chinese Communist Party-linked entities into some of the most sensitive corners of our economy – and now there’s no feasible way of getting them out.
After China supported Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, the idea of history repeating itself in Taiwan now appears almost inevitable. And let’s not even get started on the origins of Covid. Yet on it goes, with the Treasury and Foreign and Commonwealth Office desperately grasping for crumbs from China’s table.
The prime minister has declared his desire to “deepen co-operation on trade, investment and other areas of mutual benefit”, seemingly unaware that the golden era is over – and that China actually poses as big a threat to the UK as Russia and Iran.
Meanwhile, we have Ed Miliband – also tipped for a trip east in 2025 – desperately seeking Chinese investment for renewables projects. The Energy Security and Net Zero Secretary doesn’t appear to see the contradiction at the heart of his plan to rely on fossil-fuel-guzzling China to help decarbonise Britain’s electricity grid and ban the sale of new petrol and diesel cars by 2030.

Similarly, so-called Labour “progressives” appear to have turned a blind eye to the fact that some of the solar panels being shipped here from China may have been made by tortured Uyghur slaves.
To add insult to injury, plans to create a Chinese “super embassy” by the Tower of London received a boost on Tuesday after Tower Hamlets council admitted it is “no longer in a position to present evidence” for why the project should be refused.
It was utterly irresponsible to allow the Chinese to even to buy the former Royal Mint building in 2018 – but to then allow them to displace British citizens and turn it into a communist spy factory, in the current climate, is lunacy.
A spokesman for the Chinese embassy said the project was designed to “promote people-to-people friendship” and the development of relations between China and the UK. Really? Tell that to the Uyghurs, or the Hong Kongers who have had their bank accounts raided. Or the pro-democracy businessman Jimmy Lai, still languishing in solitary confinement.
China wants economic dependencies. Feeble Britain and its equally feeble ministers appear too poor to resist.
