Judgement on Carillion Execs Shows Why Keir Starmer and His Cabinet Must Answer for National Betrayal

Five former Carillion executives have been banned by the UK’s accountancy regulator for acting recklessly. That decision ended careers. It sent a clear message: gamble with other people’s futures and you face consequences.

Yet the same standard has not been applied to Keir Starmer, Rachel Reeves, David Lammy, Ed Miliband, Yvette Cooper and the rest of the 2024 Labour Cabinet. Their reckless decisions are not about one failed contractor. They are about the future of Britain itself. These choices are damaging the lives of British citizens today. They will burden our children and grandchildren for decades.

The first duty of government is the security, safety and welfare of the British people whom they exist to serve. On this the evidence is damning: they have failed and appear to have done so with full awareness of the implications of their actions and as part of a deliberate strategy to assault and undermine Britain as a sovereign nation.

This is not hyperbole. It is a clear pattern. Labour prioritises ideology, foreign interests and special interests over the British people. The party has built on the anti-Britain foundations laid by the Tories. Before them came Tony Blair’s destruction of our historic Christian constitution. As historian David Starkey has warned, Blair’s revolution rewired Britain to serve the political class, not the people. Labour has eagerly embraced and accelerated that legacy.

They Betrayed the Victims of Muslim Rape Gangs

Start with Keir Starmer himself. As Director of Public Prosecutions, he oversaw a period when rape gangs – overwhelmingly of Pakistani-Muslim heritage – were allowed to rape thousands of British girls with impunity. Victims were dismissed. Evidence was ignored. Prosecutions were delayed amid fears of “racism”. Starmer now claims he “tackled it head on”. Yet critics, including whistleblowers and the New Culture Forum, point to systemic failure during his tenure. Labour’s eventual U-turn on a national inquiry in 2025 came only after sustained pressure. It was too little, too late for the victims.

They Flooded Britain with Mass Migration

Under Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, mass legal and illegal migration continues to strain every public service. Net migration peaked in 2023 but continues to be unsustainable. So-called “small-boat” arrivals remain near record levels and asylum hotels persist. British taxpayers fund this at a cost of over £2 billion annually while waiting lists for housing and healthcare grow. Illegal migrants receive hotel accommodation and full NHS access – including dentists – while British citizens who have paid taxes all their lives are left without.

Council homes are even being piloted for asylum seekers ahead of locals. This is not compassion. It is two-tier treatment that puts foreigners first. Adding to this assault on Britain by elected officials, the incoming population consists almost entirely of men, from backgrounds and cultures that are wholly incompatible with Britain’s high-trust, culturally Christian way of life.

They Allowed Crime to Soar and Enforced Two-Tier Justice

Crime is another failure. While figures may show some falls in knife crime, the overall cost of crime has soared under Labour, with sex offences and fraud hitting taxpayers hard, not to mention the lifelong impact on victims. The rape-gangs crisis remains unresolved. Two-tier policing – harsher on native protesters than on others – has become glaringly obvious to the public, whatever government ministers claim.

Christian street preachers are routinely arrested, detained and often released without charge simply for quoting the Bible. People have been arrested for silent prayer in their own heads near abortion clinics. Black nurse Jennifer Melle was vilified and nearly lost her job for “misgendering” a transgender paedophile prisoner. The Darlington nurses faced intimidation for refusing to share changing rooms with a biological male. Nurse Sandie Peggie won a partial victory only after being suspended for the same “crime” of believing in biological sex. All this while the Supreme Court has ruled that, for the purposes of the Equality Act 2010, the terms “woman” and “sex” mean biological woman and biological sex. The Court confirmed: “the concept of sex is binary”.

They Crushed Free Speech and Gave Islam Special Privileges

Free speech has been curtailed with a back-door blasphemy law for Islam. Labour’s new definition of “anti-Muslim hatred” and plans for an Islamophobia envoy are widely condemned as giving Muslims special privileges denied to Christians or others.

Criticism of Islam is chilled while Christian preachers are targeted. This is no accident. As Islamic scholar Raymond Ibrahim explains in his August 2025 discussion Clash of Civilizations? Can Islam Assimilate with the West?, Islam’s core doctrines clash fundamentally with Britain’s Christian heritage of free speech, respect for women and human rights. That heritage binds the British people together. It is shared even by English-speaking immigrants from former British colonies who respect it. Yet it is under sustained attack from forces demanding Sharia and pursuing the ummah – the establishment by force and all other means of a global Muslim community – over British sovereignty.

This is part of Islam’s explicit doctrinal strategy to establish a worldwide caliphate and make the entire world Islamic. The Quran commands this in Surah At-Tawbah 9:33: “It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although they who associate others with Allah dislike it.” Surah Al-Anfal 8:39 states: “And fight them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah.” An authentic Hadith in Musnad Ahmad records the Prophet Muhammad saying that “this matter [Islam] will certainly reach every place touched by the night and day. Allah will not leave a house or residence but that Allah will cause this religion to enter it.”

They Squandered Billions on a Foreign War

Abroad, Chancellor Rachel Reeves and Foreign Secretary David Lammy preside over the continuing commitment of £3 billion a year in military aid “for as long as it takes”. This adds to a total UK commitment now exceeding £21 billion since Russia moved to protect civilians living in the Donbass region – who the Ukraine government had been mercilessly bombing – even though Britain is not legally at war and our own armed forces are hollowed out. Energy Secretary Ed Miliband’s net-zero zeal has left British households paying some of Europe’s highest bills while housing and the NHS buckle under migration pressures.

They Have Broken the Economy

Rachel Reeves’ tax rises – the largest since 1993 – have piled £40 billion onto businesses and families. Employer National Insurance hikes and frozen tax thresholds have dragged millions into higher bands. The result? Stalled growth. The economy shrank in several months of 2025. Unemployment has climbed to 5.2 per cent. Public debt sits at over 93 per cent of GDP, with interest payments now costing more than defence.

Mass migration adds billions in extra pressure on housing, the NHS and welfare. Net-zero policies drive up energy costs for everyone. British families and businesses are paying the price for this reckless economic management.

They Have Broken the NHS

The NHS is on its knees. Waiting lists still stand at over seven million people. Millions face months or even years for treatment. A&E departments routinely miss targets, with only around three-quarters of patients seen within four hours.

NHS dentistry has collapsed. Almost a third of British people now pay privately because they cannot get an NHS appointment. British citizens who have paid taxes all their lives are left without basic care – while illegal migrants in hotels receive full dental treatment on the NHS.

Mass migration has flooded the system with extra demand. GP surgeries, hospitals and waiting lists are overwhelmed. This is two-tier healthcare in action: foreigners first, British taxpayers last.

They Have Damaged Our Children’s Education

Our children’s future is being stolen in the classroom. Academic standards are collapsing. In 2025, nearly four in ten primary pupils left school without the expected standard in reading, writing and maths. Reading for pleasure is at its lowest level ever – just one in three children and young people say they enjoy it. A whole generation is being short-changed on the basics they need to succeed in life.

At the same time, schools are pumping children full of inappropriate LGBTQ+ ideology. Despite the Cass Review’s clear warnings that social transition is not a neutral act and that evidence for rushing children is weak, many classrooms still teach that gender is fluid and biological sex can be changed. Pupils are encouraged to question their sex, adopt new pronouns or identities, often without proper parental involvement or clinical oversight. This is not education. It is indoctrination that confuses young minds, harms mental health and undermines the truth about biological reality.

They Have Failed Our Older People

Britain’s older generation is being abandoned in a deepening care crisis. Thousands of elderly people who paid taxes all their lives are left waiting for basic support. Care homes are short-staffed and overwhelmed. The system that should protect our pensioners is failing them.

This crisis was made far worse by the loss of around 40,000 care workers who were sacked for refusing an untried and untested medical intervention – the COVID-19 “vaccine”. It is now public knowledge that this intervention has caused deadly side effects. A worldwide embalmer survey has revealed a striking rise in long fibrous white blood clots in bodies presented for embalming since the vaccination rollout.

In the Netherlands, a court has ordered Bill Gates, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, former Dutch Prime Minister (and current NATO Secretary General) Mark Rutte, the Dutch state and members of the Dutch COVID-19 Outbreak Management Team to testify in a civil lawsuit brought by victims of alleged “vaccine” injuries. Labour has done nothing to reverse this damage or properly fund social care. Older Britons deserve better.

These are not isolated mistakes. They are reckless governance on a scale that harms every British family.

Commentators from Christian Concern, the New Culture Forum, barrister Steven Barrett, Conor Tomlinson, Rupert Lowe MP, Ben Habib, Gavin Ashenden, Jordan Peterson, Rafe Heydel-Mankoo, writer on The Conservative Woman and others have documented how this government has placed ideology above the national interest – favouring globalism, open borders and minority sensitivities over the security, prosperity and historic Christian identity of the British people. Members of the US Congress frequently describe this in speeches and some have visited the UK to investigate.

The Nolan Principles for Conduct in Public Life evidently have been breached. However, the offences go beyond this: the very real possibility now arises that senior figures have committed Misconduct in Public Office – and, in the eyes of some legal and constitutional analysts, elements of Treason against the British people and their oaths. Public office demands fidelity to the nation, not its undoing.

What a True Reckoning Would Look Like

A genuine reckoning would begin with independent, citizen-led public inquiries. These must be fully funded from the public purse – because the money belongs to the British people – into every aspect of this government’s failures: migration policy, rape gangs, two-tier policing, free-speech suppression, foreign aid priorities and the erosion of our Christian constitutional foundations.

This process must be widened to include this Labour government’s predecessors from 1997 as the evidence trails extend.

Senior figures, including Keir Starmer and his key ministers, must face full criminal investigations for misconduct in public office and potential breaches that may amount to treason against the oaths they swore to serve the British people. While they are “innocent until proven guilty” given that British Citizens have been detained, arrested and charged on the basis of speculation, feelings and often weak grounds, the public evidence for investigations is overwhelming. The British People know.

Where evidence warrants, those under investigation should be taken into custody without delay and held under the Terrorism Act 2000 and the Terrorism Act 2006 – laws designed to protect national security and public safety when actions threaten the very fabric of the nation.

Electronic devices, records and communications must be confiscated immediately to preserve evidence so they do not suddenly “go missing”. Bail should be denied in all cases where there is a clear flight risk or where continued liberty would pose a danger to the public or the course of justice.

Only through such robust measures – open-court trials, removal from office, asset freezes where appropriate and full public accountability – can trust in government and public institutions be restored and the rule of law applied equally.

A Reckoning Is Overdue

Britain cannot afford another generation of this. The Carillion executives faced bans for far less. It is time for the same accountability at the top.

Call to Action

  1. Demand citizen-led public inquiries, fully funded, into the Labour Cabinet’s conduct on migration, rape gangs, two-tier policing, free speech and foreign spending and widen this to include their predecessors from 1997 as the evidence trails extend.

  2. Support criminal investigations into Misconduct in Public Office and potential Treason, with immediate custody under the Terrorism Acts where justified.

  3. Back candidates and parties committed to reversing Blair’s constitutional vandalism, restoring border control, protecting free speech and putting British citizens first.

  4. Speak out – in public, online and at the ballot box – before the damage to our children’s and grandchildren’s inheritance becomes irreversible.

Our children and grandchildren deserve better than a nation sold out by its own leaders. The time for reckoning is now.
